Get your vaccine from Cosham Fire Station on Friday 30 July

Adults can get their COVID-19 vaccination at a pop-up clinic at Cosham Fire Station on Friday 30 July.
The clinic, run by Solent NHS Trust, is open from 12-6pm. No appointments are necessary and those aged 18 or over can walk in to get their first or second dose (if it has been eight weeks since their first dose) of the AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccine. Second doses of the Moderna vaccine are being offered at St James' Hospital in Portsmouth.
To use the walk-in vaccine service people will need to arrive at Cosham Fire Station on Wayte Street, PO6 3BS, between 12 and 6pm on foot, there is no parking available at the station.
Vaccines are offered on a first come, first served basis and there may be a short wait for people to receive their vaccine.
Stephanie Clark, Clinical Lead for the Portsmouth Vaccination Centre at Solent NHS Trust, said: “It is great news for our communities that we can continue to offer COVID-19 vaccinations at pop-up clinics around the city. We want to reach as many people as possible to ensure everyone has the opportunity to have the vaccine.
“If you’re in the area on Friday 30 July and wish to receive your vaccine, please drop in to Cosham Fire Station where you will be welcomed by our friendly team of volunteers and clinicians who will be on hand to make getting the jab as easy as possible.”
Group Manager for Portsmouth, Andy Weeks, said: “We’ve worked with Solent NHS Trust throughout the pandemic and we are pleased to be working with their team at Cosham Fire Station on Friday as they continue the roll-out of COVID-19 vaccinations.
“Fire stations have an important role to play within our communities and we urge everyone who lives nearby to make the most of this opportunity.
“We can reassure everyone that the fire station will remain fully operational at all times.”
If you cannot attend the walk-in clinic, pre-booked appointments are also available at one of the mass vaccination centres across Hampshire and the IOW by visiting www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by calling 119, free of charge. Alternatively, people can contact their GP or find a full list of walk-in clinics available throughout the region on the Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight CCG website.
Whilst visiting the fire stations for a vaccination, people are reminded to follow the ‘hands, face, space’ guidance to help control the virus.
