How can we help
Here to help, never to judge.
Who we are:
Treetops SARC is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC).
We offer medical care, emotional support and practical help to anyone who has been raped or sexually assaulted.
The Crisis Worker team at Treetops SARC provide independent advocacy and support with practical matters, can introduce you to other support services, for example Rape Crisis and Victim Support, as well as providing confidential telephone advice.
Depending on the type of assault and when it happened, we can offer a Forensic Medical Examination to collect evidence. The examination is important because we want to look after your medical needs as well as collecting forensic evidence. You may be at risk of pregnancy or Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s); we can help you accessing emergency contraception and support you in getting appropriate medical care.
The service we provide is free to access and confidential. We will only share your details with other services or agencies with your consent unless there is a concern that you or anyone else is at risk of serious harm.
We have a legal duty to share information with other services if you are under 18, we can also offer support from a Young Person’s Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (YPISVA) to ensure you receive the best possible care. The Young Person’s ISVA can offer emotional and practical support, advocacy and assistance with health appointments and attend meetings with clients after their initial visit to the SARC.
We are in a discreet and secure location with onsite parking.
