Reporting with police (Police referral)
If you wish to make a report to the police then a Crisis Worker can help to facilitate this. A specially trained officer (STO) will talk to you and make sure you understand what is going on at each stage. The police will investigate the assault which may involve giving a statement about what happened.
We understand that confidentiality is important to you and we will respect that at all times. All information about you will be held in complete confidence unless there are concerns regarding child protection or abuse of a vulnerable adult. In such cases we have a legal responsibility to share some information with other agencies such as Social Services to help keep children and vulnerable adults safe.
