Who we are:

Treetops SARC is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC).

We offer medical care and practical help to anyone who has been raped or sexually assaulted. We can also refer or signpost you to services for emotional support.

We are here to help, never to judge.

The Crisis Worker team at Treetops provide advice, independent advocacy, and support with practical matters, confidentially over the phone or by email. They can introduce you to other support services, for example Rape Crisis and Victim Support.

Depending on the type of assault and when it happened, we can offer a Forensic Medical Examination to collect evidence. The examination is important because we want to look after your medical needs as well as collecting forensic evidence. You may be at risk of pregnancy or Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s); we can help you accessing emergency contraception and support you in getting appropriate medical care.

The service we provide is free to access and confidential.

You can attend Treetops SARC and access our services regardless of your decision to report the assault to the Police.

We will only share your details with other services or agencies with your consent unless there is a concern that you or anyone else is at risk of serious harm. We have a legal duty to share information with other services if you are under 18.

Under 18’s can also access support from our Young Person’s Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (YPISVAs) to ensure you receive the best possible care. They offer emotional and practical support, advocacy and assistance with health appointments and attend meetings with clients after their initial visit to the SARC.
