The workshop was for people aged 65 and over and gave advice on identifying falling hazards in the home, practical ways to reduce the risk of falling and what to do if you do have a fall. People who attended also had the opportunity to learn new exercises and take part in a health MOT; which included a bone health and balance test. Sally Ann Belward, our Falls Prevention Specialist hosted the event and gave people useful advice about changing they could make into heir home to significantly reduce the risk of falling.
The event last two hours and was attended by over 30 people. The feedback we had from the event was brilliant - everyone bar one person who said the event was 'excellent', the person who didn't say it was excellent, said it was 'very good'.
Many people commented on the high quality presentation, with one person event emailing our Chief Executive to share his positive feedback.
