About your appointment

Your first appointment will usually be between 30 & 45 minutes long. You may be asked to complete a questionnaire about your general health on arrival before seeing a physiotherapist for your initial assessment. There will be time for you to explain your problem fully before a physical examination takes place.

You may be asked to remove your outer clothing to allow examination of the problem area. Wearing appropriate clothing to enable this (eg.shorts, vest top) is advisable. You will never be asked to remove your underwear.

All of our physiotherapists are registered members of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). We support the teaching of student physiotherapists therefore you may be assessed by a student who is under the guidance of a senior staff member.
