Industrial action - 13 to 16 March

Strike action by members of the British Medical Association (BMA) will affect services across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight next week, including those at Solent NHS Trust.

Junior doctor members of the BMA are set to take part in strike action for a continuous 72 hours, from 7am on Monday 13 March to 7am on Thursday 16 March.

BMA members employed as junior doctors within Solent NHS Trust and other specific Trusts across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight will participate in the planned strike action.

Patient safety is of the upmost importance at all times.

We have worked closely with BMA representatives to make sure that people most in need continue to receive care. We have also planned carefully with staff to ensure that we can continue to provide safe care whilst supporting their right to take industrial action if they choose.

Our teams have made every effort to contact people whose appointments are affected. If you have not heard from us, please attend your appointment as planned.
