Solent NHS Trust invites everyone to come along and find out what the future holds for the organisation at a special event.
With many changes going on across the NHS nationally, the Trust, which provides community and specialist mental health services in Portsmouth, Southampton and other parts of Hampshire, hopes the event will give people a chance to find out more about some of the changes locally, and share its vision for the future.
Sue Harriman, Solent NHS Trust’s Chief Executive, said: “I am really looking forward to this event, personally for me; I enjoy nothing more than speaking to the people that use our services and members of the public about the services our Trust provides in their community.’’
“We regularly engage with members of the public, and a large number of them have told us that they are unclear about what the future holds for the NHS and the services we provide.’’
“We understand that people are feeling uncertain and perhaps anxious about how any changes will affect them and their family. We hope this event will provide an understanding of what’s happening in the NHS, what’s happening with our services in Hampshire and the cities and finally, what the future holds for our Trust.”
During the session, members of the public will have the chance put their questions to Sue, along with Sarah Austin and Alex Whitfield, Chief Operating Officers for the Trust’s Portsmouth, Southampton and Countywide Care Groups.
The event will take place on Thursday 14 April, Highpoint Venue, Bursledon Road, Southampton, SO19 8BR.
Arrival from 5.30pm, there will be a number of information stands hosted by some of our community partners and services. The main event starts at 6pm and is due to finish at 7.45pm.
