Residents of Southampton are being invited to join in the fun at the Family Fun Day on 3 September 2011 from 12.30pm to 8.30pm.
The Freemantle Common Family Fun Day will feature a fantastic opening and closing drum ceremony, special guest bands, art and crafts stalls, face painting, a tug of war contest and lots more. Why not come and try your luck at the grand raffle or have a go on one of the fairground rides.
The Family Fun Day has been set up by the friends of Westwood and Jigsaw to help raise money for children who use Solent NHS Trust’s respite centre for children with complex health needs and physical disabilities.
Jess Bundy, Westwood Site Coordinator said, “Everyone is really excited about the Fun Day on Saturday. There will be lots of food on offer, including a delicious cupcake stall, so no one will go hungry! We are really looking forward to seeing the local community getting involved with all the activities and enjoying the entertainment.”
Freemantle common is on Peartree Avenue, Bitterne, Southampton.
Jigsaw is a multi-agency health and social service for Southampton children with a learning disability and their family.
Solent NHS Trust was created on 1 April 2011. We provide a range of community and specialist mental health services to over a million people in Southampton, Portsmouth and parts of Hampshire.
