How can we help?

Our specialist MSK team will undertake a thorough history and examination regarding your complaint. We may decide to send you for further tests, which may include:

  • ultrasound scan
  • x-ray
  • MRI
  • nerve conduction testing
  • blood tests

We will do this if they are necessary in establishing a diagnosis or identifying further treatment options for you.

We will discuss all your treatment options with you to establish a tailored plan of care.  For specific conditions, we may offer a corticosteroid injection as part of your treatment to help with pain reduction. For certain spinal conditions, you may be considered for different types of injections to help manage your symptoms, if physiotherapy and pain relief are not helping. In Southampton, this will involve care with our persistent pain team.
