SolentNHS Trust’s Sexual Health Services are asking members of the public for their views on proposals to provide contraception and sexual health screening services on Saturday mornings.
Sexual Health Services are currently provided in the City from Monday to Friday. In response to public feedback, Solent NHS Trust propose to provide a service on Saturday mornings from a City Centre location.
The team would like to hear where the people of Southampton would like the service to be delivered from. Would people prefer the clinic to be provided in a high street location or on health premises in the City Centre, such as the Royal South Hants health campus?
Barry Alborough, Sexual Health Services Manager in Southampton said: “We would encourage people to give their views about our new Saturday clinic. Your feedback will help shape our plans for the new clinic to ensure we provide a service which responds to your needs.”
Barry added: “The feedback provided from members of the public and our service users will help us determine how we should run the Saturday clinic. This will then be piloted for six months and its usage will be evaluated to ensure we provide the right service in the right location.”
People can give their views by visiting www.solent.nhs.uk and filling in the online questionnaire. Alternatively, people can contact Sexual Health Services on 0300 123 7399.
